Burnout: Using Your Lows as a Launching Pad to Your Highs
Burnout is a common consequence of chronic stress. We experience burnout when we over exhaust our mind and body. Common symptoms of burnout are intense lack of motivation, negativity, and detachment. During episodes of burnout, I don’t know about you, but I can barely recognize myself.
From the outside looking in, scaling a business is an exciting and motivating experience! However, as freelancers and (solo)entrepreneurs this type of growth can be terrifying and lonely. Our minds race a thousand miles ahead of us and we feel like we need to hustle our hearts out in order to keep up.
In this episode, I take you through my most recent experience with burnout while I was on a beach vacation with my fiance and friends. Not only did my chronic stress affect my time to R+R, it affected those around me as well. This experience shook me. When I got home I was determined to not let that happen again. I created a none-step self-care routine to keep my mind and body in check. By preventing burnout we can better manage our health, happiness, and business. This episode is great for freelancers and entrepreneurs at any stage of their BSQ journey because we all experience stress differently. No matter how big or how small our stressors may seem, we can use these tools to circumvent self-sabotage.
